Title: How can I permanently put an end to my son's gaming?

My 18-year-old son continues to play video games even after I smashed his laptop and deleted his Steam account. How can I permanently put an end to his gaming?

My job is to answer the question I am interested in without mindless criticism. Your goal of making your son focus on his education or future is correct, but your method of taking away his laptop or steam account isn't the best way to go about it. If these items are your son's own property, then it's likely he will become even more rebellious and not listen to you. It is true that online games can be damaging to your children, as many parents have experienced first-hand. However, there is nothing wrong with allowing your son to play offline games, such as retro or console games, but only during breaks and after ensuring that he is making progress in his education and future goals. It is important to never allow your son to play online games as they often lead to corruption, rebellion, and even violence. It is not uncommon for strangers to brainwash your son into believing that their virtual family is better than his real family, and that his family is the cause of his miseries. It is important to make sure your son understands why games can be unappealing. Show him that games can lead to addiction, bad habits, and can even lead to financial issues. Games can also encourage violence, which can lead to a lack of empathy and even criminal behavior. Games can also be extremely time consuming, taking away from time spent with family and friends. Overall, it is important to ensure that your son is aware of the potential risks of playing games. While games can be a fun pastime, they must be played responsibly and in moderation.

There are 3 ways to alter his attachment to games to eliminate his “gamer” spirit which is more like “hoax” spirit. This sounds like how fiend-ship works!
