An old contact saved your life. Rumored to be dead. After millennia you found him alive and in an entirely different image. He turned out to be lonesome and complete rascally. He mistreated you in the end. What would you do? Help out or let it go?
If someone you know has been lying to you or using your best friends from the past, it is best to ignore them and move on. However, if the contact is depressed for no reason and you want to help them out, there are a few things you can do. You can attempt to reach out to them indirectly without any obligations, in order to provide them the support they need. If you find that you are unable to reach them, then you are left with two options. The first option is to allow them to decide for themselves how best to proceed with their life. The second option is to find someone who can relate to them and provide them with better support than you can. In either case, it is important to remember that you are not obligated to help, and that you can find better interests to pursue in your life.
As it stands, it might go in different approaches for different situations:
- If that contact appears to be lying and has never meant you any good, then dump them off and ignore the fact that you ever encountered them.
- If that contact does not relay the true answer and has used your best pals from the past, then defeat them and show them your superiority.
- If that contact never wanted to get help and is depressed for no reason, then try to help them out indirectly without any obligations.
- If you have failed in your quest to restore them, then you are left with two choices:
- a. Leave them to decide for themselves what the best approach for them to live by is, or
- b. Find someone who can reach them better than you, so that you are no longer obligated to help them and can instead find better interests to fulfill in your life.
